Midas has integrated its mGLOBAL token into Aave Horizon, enhancing borrowing potential for institutional investors in real-world assets.

Midas, a company based in Berlin, has successfully integrated its mGLOBAL token into Aave Horizon. This integration allows accredited institutional users to utilize mGLOBAL as collateral for borrowing USDC while maintaining complete exposure to the yields generated by their underlying strategy.

The mGLOBAL token is a reflection of Fasanara Capital’s Global Diversified Alternative Debt strategy. This strategy focuses on short-duration, investment-grade asset-backed credit, primarily targeting small and medium-sized enterprises. With Fasanara Capital managing assets amounting to $5.5 billion, this partnership effectively brings a segment of their investment strategy into the blockchain space, enhancing composability with decentralized finance.

Currently, mGLOBAL hovers around a trading value of $1.00 and boasts a total value locked of approximately $37.6 million on Midas’s platform. In the wider landscape, Midas has issued tokenized assets that have surpassed a remarkable total of $1.7 billion. The firm also secured $50 million in a Series A funding round in March 2026, positioning itself to expand further into the realm of tokenized real-world assets.

#How Does Aave Horizon Enhance Institutional Borrowing?

Aave Horizon, which made its debut in August 2025, serves as a dedicated, permissioned market specifically designed for real-world assets. Developed by Aave Labs, it allows institutional investors to borrow stablecoins such as USDC, RLUSD, and GHO against tokenized collateral. Unlike the open Aave protocol, Aave Horizon restricts access to accredited participants, enhancing the security and trust needed for institutional operations.

The deposits on Aave Horizon have already reached hundreds of millions, and the addition of mGLOBAL enhances the collateral options available to investors focused on alternative credit strategies. This integration aims to increase the platform's allure to a broader range of potential investors already engaged in this asset class.

#What Should Investors Know About This Development?

For institutional investors, the main benefit lies in achieving capital efficiency. By borrowing against tokenized alternative debt, portfolio managers can effectively maintain strategic allocations while simultaneously gaining access to short-term liquidity. This approach enables more flexibility in their investment strategies.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge the risks involved. The value of mGLOBAL is intrinsically tied to Fasanara Capital’s success in effectively managing its alternative debt portfolio. Should the underlying credit strategy experience underperformance or defaults, mGLOBAL’s value as collateral could understandably decline.

Even though Midas's total value locked in mGLOBAL stands at $37.6 million, which is still comparatively modest next to the billions in the tokenized Treasury market, its integration with Aave Horizon significantly enhances its role within an already established lending ecosystem utilized by institutions.
